Community Charter School of Cambridge was one of over 20 public charter schools represented at the 13th Annual Boston Area Charter School Showcase. Over 450 families attended this year’s event, held January 26 on the campus of Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Many families who attended the fair asked us what sets CCSC apart from other schools. Our answer: high academic expectations and a rigorous college prep curriculum for all students, an exceptionally dedicated faculty, and a small and supportive school community. (And, no, you don’t have to live in Cambridge to attend, though it does give you preference in our lottery. In fact, the majority of CCSC’s 360 students live in Boston and other towns, and some come from as far away as Randolph, Stoughton, and Westwood.)
Boston Neighborhood Network covered the event and the segment below aired on January 28. Hear what CCSC 10th grader Amira Nwokeji-Iwuala has to say about how the academic workload (homework!) at CCSC is preparing her for college.
