There is still time to nominate a great public school teacher for the 2014-15 Massachusetts Teacher of the Year program. Last year Community Charter School of Cambridge chemistry teacher Heather Haines was a semifinalist and was recognized by (and photographed with) Governor Deval Patrick at the awards ceremony. We would love to see another CCSC on the podium this year — there is no shortage of worthy candidates.
Anyone may submit a nomination (due by Jan. 31).
To nominate a teacher, please include:
1. The teacher’s full name, grade level, subject and email.
2. The name and address of the school.
3. A statement explaining why you feel this teacher deserves recognition.
4. Your own name and email.
You may email your nomination to Deborah Walker at firstname.lastname@example.org
Or mail it to: TOY Program, MA Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education, Attn: Deborah Walker, 75 Pleasant St., Malden, MA 02148
